Business Development Coordinator

Working closely with the SVP, Business Development, this person will help manage and execute all marketing projects, programs, and activities.  We are looking for someone who is energetic and passionate about helping to grow a business.

Primary Duties

  • Proactive research on pending and active RFP/RFQ/RFI from federal and state government agenciesUnderstand customer needs and requirements
  • Prospecting, lead generation and setting appointments
  • Participation in regular networking activities
  • Execution of Webinar campaign tactics including implementation, follow-up, support, and reporting
  • Execution of Email Marketing campaign tactics and follow up reporting
  • Maintenance of company websites including content updates, SEO optimization, and reporting
  • Conduct market and conference research, implement plans, tracking, and follow-up reporting
  • Write, edit, and coordinate the production of marketing materials such as brochures, case studies, bios, mailers
  • Develop simple presentations, when needed
  • Monitor sales reports, develop/maintain case study library, and reporting
  • Manage marketing collateral inventory
  • Executes marketing programs and projects with excellence
  • Assist with managing the marketing budget
  • Perform other business development related duties as required

Skills Required:

  • Experience with project planning and management
  • Willingness to proactively take on tasks and make a contribution beyond the scope of own role
  • Event planning and execution experience
  • Experience working with outside creative agencies and vendors
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Skills Preferred:

  • Government proposal knowledge and experience
  • Experience with web content management systems
  • Experience with email marketing campaigns and email marketing systems
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM systems
  • Ability to comprehend internal and external marketing needs and apply appropriate tactics to achieve desired results

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • 2–5 years of marketing experience in a B2B environment (professional services – technology or consulting a plus)
  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (preference: Marketing), or equivalent knowledge of marketing principles
